Pope John Paul II appears in fire!

Well, there has to be a couple of miracles to get JP his sainthood. One down, one to go.
 
Cool, three dragons appeared in my fireplace once. Got printed in the Nemi comic, too, although they didn't see them (I don't think they realized it was the flames, maybe I should email them and tell them?).

So, does this mean he is in hell?

No, because the Pope is someone they like. It's only when it's someone you don't like that their appearance in flames is an obvious and undeniable sign they're of Satan, praise the Lord for informing us.
 
I was going to leave a comment on the site, but the only one that's there sums it up nicely: "Rubbish"
 
This is not anything new. Sirius Black appeared to Harry Potter in a fireplace.
 
Notice he's still wearing that funky man-dress? They should bury Popes in Speedos - then we could tell for sure when a fire-image is real or not.

At least they weren't burning books.

To Galileo, not Bruno, afaik.

Interestingly, one of the main reasons that Bruno was burned at the stake was that he was an Arian heretic, persisting in teaching copernicus' theory was only a secondary reason
 
The firery photo reminds me of Sam Beckett in one of the opening sequences of 'Quantum Leap' - when he leaps into a showgirl. Or a character in Victor-Victoria or Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Don't remember an apology to Bruno and can't find a reference on the net. Do recall an apology, at least of sorts, to Galileo.

Besides waiting until after JPII is dead to burn him is hardly fair trade for Bruno anyway.
