Stephen Moss introduces a debate between Richard Dawkins and Madeline Bunting

just listening to it now. Bunting is no more convincing in print either. So much wooly thinking she could start a sheep farm.

He concedes far too much to her. She came into it armed to the teeth with NOMA and he let it slide. Her thinking is, indeed, wooly, but Dawkins didn't do much to shear it away.

He concedes emotional truth and spiritual truth with little dispute and allows his concerns to be confined within a sphere of human understanding depicted as narrow and of only limited import.

Sorry, but I'm afraid that one was a loss.
