PM and Email System in vBulletin

I tried a Google search and so far have come up empty. I know Admins at a vBulletin board can read people's PMs using the right hack or plug-in. My question is whether or not an email sent through the board to another member be read by an Admin?

I belong to other vBulletin forums, and was wondering about that. I just want to know if it's technically possible to do with the right software. I use the PM system at those other places, but I've never enabled the email feature at any of them including here.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry but I don't know. We have other users of vBulletin boards who are Members they may be able to answer your question so I'll move this to the Computer section as I think more people will see your question there.

ETA: Have you tried asking over at www.vbulletin.org?

I went there and looked, and all I could find was threads about the PM systems, but nothing about the emails. I'm not registered there so no I didn't ask them. I figured JREF is a very large board and one or more of the Admins here might know.

Thanks

From a quick skim it uses the php mail() function presumably indirectly therefore the short answer is almost certainly yes. How would vary by site depending how they set up email in their own vbulletin installation.
