If you had a different face, your loved ones might feel weird, since they'll be the ones looking at it.
There is a book by Shizuko Natsuki, Portal of the Wind, that deals with something similar but more extreme: whole head transplants, and the effects. It's a pretty good read, if a bit creepy.
