It's kind of like Mitt Romney's "47%" video in that he divides Americans into two classes of people: those who are "takers" and those who are "makers".

See Ryan read this book that told him how awesome he was. He sees himself as one of the makers - and damn the parasites, looters, and moochers.

How does Ryan explain that the takers are GOP type states, and the makers are solidly blue states?

One way to get most of the moochers off the government role is to self deport them back to wherever they came from. Also we must insist that all citizens on government funds be forced to be a member of a right wing church where they will get the word of god. In getting the word of god they will realize all science is based off the bible and anything newer than 2000 years ago is simply wrong. During this time most will come to the view that animals and plants are here to serve us and we can kill as many as we want to build pipelines to ship oil to the US. Also all international relations can be done by either evading a country, by viewing it from the front porch, or by making things up about that country.
 
Yep: Makers, the 47% who work for a living.
Yep: Takers, the 1% who profits from the work of the 47%

The rest? Young, old, caring for families, working in politics.

It is true - and we've got our eyes on your money, next! We discussed it in the sooper sektret club house. It's not enough to take out the money and interest we put into SS or UI, we actually want your rider mower! You can hand it over peaceably, or make us come and get it. Your call.

Just like Romney's 47%, Ryan's "takers", in order to get to that high a number, includes anyone who gets any check signed by a government agency or has any invoice paid by a government agency or offshoot. It doesn't matter if it's disability, SS, medicare... they count any "recipient". It's what got Romney in trouble (and it will come back again to bite him in the butt, I'm certain) and it's what's getting Ryan in trouble. The GOP is all excited to have the intellectual architect of their fiscal program on the ticket, but they're presuming their own press releases are correct and that everyone loves the baby/bathwater brand of fiscal conservatism. They may be in for a rude awakening.
 
I would hope that the American people would get more value out of the government than they pay into it. That's a sign of effective government.
