Patrick Kennedy - "Scott Brown candidacy a joke

Hit enter by mistake.

"Sen. Scott Brown's (R-Mass.) election has been shown to be "a joke," the son of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) said Thursday.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) castigated Brown for having pushed to be sworn in ahead of schedule to permanently fill the Senate seat left vacant by the congressman's father's death in August.

"Brown's whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama's appointment to the NLRB," Kennedy said Thursday."

Hey, c'mon guys, I'm sure he'll regret those words when he sobers up in the morning.

Has Rep. Kennedy been made aware yet that it's the people's seat?

What are you referencing? Did he refer to it as his father's seat? (I do see where he called it "the Senate seat left vacant by the congressman's father's death". That is an accurate statement).

A new poll in Rhode Island shows deep problems for Patrick Kennedy, son of Ted, who is an eight term incumbent.
The poll, by WPRI TV station, showed only 35 per cent of voters in his district would vote to re-elect him, while he has a 56 per cent unfavorable rating.
Kennedy also faces a well-financed Republican challenger for the first time in the shape of State Rep. John Loughlin, who announced his campaign yesterday
This is the best-financed challenger he’s faced since the first time he ran, and his favorability numbers are way down.

Jokes on him.

Jokes on him.

Gonna have to bookmark this post and come back and bump it (if it turns out the right way) in November so we can all enjoy the laughs.

A rather famous moment during the campaign:

The link doesn't work. I did find the video by googling "youtube OJEEQHOnI2Q". But I don't see Patrick Kennedy in the video at all, so I'm still missing the relevance of the "Has Rep. Kennedy been made aware yet that it's the people's seat?" question. Is there another video that shows him not being aware of whose seat it is?

Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life.

Wait... Isn't he the one that ran into a concrete barrier near the Capitol? I thought he was on the slim side...

Scott Brown should have entered politics the real way, by having a famous political name.

don't forget Jerry Brown or his dad Edmund "Pat" Brown. A couple of "famous" politicians

Neither are related to Scott Brown, and I really doubt any voters thought they were.

Scott Brown's father was a politician though, of sorts. He was a city councilman in Newburyport MA. I doubt that name recognition helped him though.

Nothing like generations of Kennedys riding on JFK's coattails.

Yes, he did crash into a barrier at the Capitol shortly after he was seen drinking at a bar. Instead of giving him a sobriety test, the police escorted him home. I can only imagine what would happen to most non-Kennedys if we drunkenly crashed into a barrier near the Capitol.

I'd like to set the record straight about something- I made a mistake based on Patrick Kennedy's bloated face. While he might be stupid and a drunkard, I can clearly see from other pictures that he is not a fat man. I stand corrected and I regret the error.
