I can see why she was banged up, pre-Fraudulent Mediums Act, for stirring up unjustified rumour and spreading gossip. It was wartime! "Loose lips sink ships" and all that. Then again, their reasoning may not have been that sound; seems likely to me that they wanted to be on the safe side in case she WAS able to "see" things (which is not such a good reason to jail her). Either way, some more details would be enlightening. There should be a good reason for reversing the decisions of the past, I think.
