McCain was already slowly gaining,,,if not leading BO before the DNC. Chosing Palin was such a brilliant move that I cannot beleive a politician thought of it. It would have been my choice too, but I knew they were not smart enought to try it. Now its checkmate...

I predict that Palin will be a superstar. She is that good. She will be the first female president. She is that good.

The fact that Mccain chose her means he is way better than I thought. Way different than Bush, way better. Our country has a chance now...no more Bush....no more Obama or clinton. Way to go Mccain....

checkmate BO

How many Palin threads does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

I agree that it was a good move, and that it's going to be a very close race, but it's not a checkmate by any means, and I don't think she's up to a presidential bid.

Ten. One to screw it in, and nine more to argue about how much better they could have done it.

Or alternatively:

Two. The real problem is figuring out how to get them into the lightbulb.

Are you serious? Which Palin are you excited about? The one opposed to stem cell research, or the one that is opposed to physician assisted suicide, or the one that is opposed to STATE benefits for homosexuals(that means she is ok with benefits for straight people) or the one that is PRO-Creationism? Yes, she wants to teach creationism in our classrooms.

As for that lightbulb talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the...

I got nothin'.:o

At this rate Palin is going to need her own sub-forum. We're getting 2 or 3 new threads a day.

Superficially, she seemed like a good choice, but let's see how she holds up to what's coming. Already she's got a lot of 'splaining to do. See the thread on the Bridge to Nowhere for example. In 2006 when she was campaigning for Governor of Alaska, she was for it. Now she takes credit for killing it!

Nope. This is not even a good opening move, much less checkmate.

This is like h2-h4 as an opening.
