The effort to eradicate the disease was affected when a Taliban leader declared the vaccine “un-Islamic” last year.

That's what we'll get if the vaccination-"skeptics" get their way.

I have no doubt that it's been considered. I hope it isn't considered seriously though, because I'd bet the leaders are vaccinated regardless of what they tell the flock. I don't see any one religion, cult or organization having a monopoly on hipocrisy.

If its like any other vaccine though that would be utterly pointless and stupid because that isn't how vaccines work.
