That overworked Catholic Clergy in the USA, Canada, and Europe are outsourcing certain ritual prayer requests from thier parishoners to Catholic clergy in India. Indian priests said the requests are typically accompanied by 5.00 to 10.00, much more than they are offered for domestic prayers.

"Thank you very much for your prayer request, sir, may we help you reformat your hard drive as well?"

Do the parishoners know about this? They should insist on getting their money back! :D

If ignorance is rampant and the flock strays it is the shepherds who are at fault and will be held accountable. Self proclaimed leaders of God's flock have always been held especially accountable for the spiritual condition of those they claim to lead.

Isaiah 56:11
They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain.

Jeremiah 10:21
The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the LORD ; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered.

Jeremiah 12:10
Many shepherds will ruin my vineyard and trample down my field; they will turn my pleasant field into a desolate wasteland.

Jeremiah 23:1
"Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD .

Jeremiah 3:15
Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

John 21

17The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." 18
Jesus said, "Feed my sheep....

(NIV)

You know... they could just pray for their damned selves, instead of asking priests to do it for them...

Why, O why do the 'faithful' need clergy to interact on their behalf?

Of course, the same argument could be applied to the 'hard drive' portion of that joke, too... :D
