Micro$oft Outlook.

I want to see Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc on the calendar and not just the date.

I can't find out how.

The calendar view I want is the normal week and day names are only visible on the Month view as far as I can see.

Is asking for Monday, 07 August too much to ask :(

I'll settle for Mon.

What version of Outlook?

ETA: I was going to suggest changing the long date format in Control Panel>Settings>Regional Options>Advanced>Date, but I just checked mine and it doesn't give me that display option. I'm pretty sure that's where Outlook gets the date format from though.

Microsoft Outlook 2000 version 9.0.0.2711 on Windows XP.

What teek said works for me. Long date format is now "dddd d MMMM jjjj", and the dddd makes Outlook display the full weekday: it says 'Monday 7 August' (in Dutch, but that should not make a difference.)
After changing the format to "d MMMM jjjj", Outlook just says '7 August'.

This is Outlook 2000 on Windows 2000, but again, that shouldn't make a difference.

That is a handy tip, I hadn't realised that. It works for Outlook 2003 on windows XP Pro (my setup).

Works for me too.

The route there was a little different:

Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language and Regional Options > Regional and Language Options

Where the Language option is located click on the Customize button then the Date tab.

Long and short date formats are lurking there and do as Oleron said although yyyy might work better for English instead of jjjjj ;)

Thanks again everyone.

Happy again :D

Ah yes, that's the step I overlooked - when I checked the long date format I only looked in the drop-down menu, I didn't bother checking to see if I could manually type it in myself.

Glad that was the right method though :)
