Our Bodies, Ourselves turns 40

Hard to imagine, but Our Bodies, Ourselves was a breakthrough publication back in its day - a staple at the birth control and problem pregnancy clinic where I worked, and, I believe, deserving of a great deal of credit for demystifying their own bodies to women.

I remember when it came out. I was proud for the ladies.

The world has changed for women since that day. How much was due to the book, it is hard to say, but the difference it made should not be underestimated.
