I got an antic ouija for my birthday a few years ago and have used it a few times got some answers that did pan out and some that were just nonsense.
Anyway a few nights ago i had some friends over and one of them was a bit scared of it we tried to explain to him that it may not be ghosts but just your mind moving it or involintary movements of your fingers but he got really scared and grabbed the disc and broke it. in trying to get it back off him he cut my finger with it and got blood on the ouija board and now we are experiancing really bad luck and things keep moving themselves about my room by themselves.
i know this sounds totally unbelieveble but does anyone have any advice as we are both really scared?
thanks

If things keep moving by themselves document it by all means on video and get a skeptic witness for a testimony asap.

Poltergeists are notorious for their dislike of video documentation and skeptics and often vanish as soon as they are threatened with either of them.

Whatever you do..DO NOT throw the ouija board into a fire. It will scream if you try to burn it.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the board. Have you broken any mirrors in the last 7 years?

Seriously though, bad things sometimes happen to good people for no reason. It is just the way of the world. Sorry

First off........it's "antique", even on that island.

and some that were just nonsense.

Hmmmnnnn.....must have been mal-functioning? check the batteries?

You're gonna need a "real" professional........look in the phone book, (tele directory)......these things can get really bad in a New York second.

i know this sounds totally unbelievable but does anyone have any advice as we are both really scared?
thanks

If I was you, I would run around the house three, countem' THREE times, naked. Preferably in the snow......that will cure all the ailments from breaking the "disc".

I once broke a Michael Jackson CD (compact disc), and for 18 days, I was haunted by the spirit of Albotrauesddhjh..........it was frightening.

Good Luck! ;)

p.s. running round the house in the snow scared the Hell outta that lost soul Albotrauesddhjh........but he was really pissed. (drunk)

wow

Ok so it does seem a bit far fetched but this is really happening thank you to some of you for your advice and i know i could just be having an unlucky streak but both of us at the same time i dont know about that.
And thank you xboxwarrior for your sage and helpful advice  you know it really brings tears to my eyes that you could be so helpful lol. Im only joking as i said i know it sounds unbelieveble but if you were going through the stuff we are you may think differently.

Do something that makes you convinced you have beaten the curse that has fallen on you and your friend. It does not matter what. It must convince you that the curse has gone, then it will have gone.

Sorry, you are royally screwed, unless you can hire an expert Ouijenjammer to break the curse for you. I happen to know an expert in the field of Ouijenjammerie, but he is not cheap. PM me and I will provide you with an address where to send $10,000, and I will arrange for the Ouijenjammer to lift your curse.

Don't listen to these skeptical unbleevers. You may have a future as a Facilitated Communicator. Contact Dean Dr. Douglas Biklen at Syracuse U. and tell him I sent you. hiui dbgreh fguyhvfdfn hjhrddbjkyh mkufgbujrfnjug vfreyhugv ,mcklkrjt ;jxcfyljb sdrgjb vklxdgrj

Send me the cursed Ouija board. I will set it next to my demon-possessed monkey.

ETA: I just found the original thread and my monkey is haunted, not demon possessed.

That was the idea. Approaching the seemingly unexplainable bad luck and moving things in an investigative way to find out what really is happening, for example by comparing ones perceptions with those of an unscared observer should lead to a mindset that is much better for dealing with it than being scared.

Alternately you could clean the board parts with flowing water, generously dispose sea salt on the floor, do a few walks through your rooms with an incense burner and sing appropriate chants. If nothing else it will distract you.

p.s: the alternate method is more fun if done with like minded friends.

Ok, this has happened to me 7 times before so I've been around the block with these sorts of things. This is the tried and true method for beating the old Blood-on-the-planchette-then-the-deamons-came-and-meesed-up-my-bedroom thing. Follow these IN ORDER... Do not deviate for ANY reason. All this stuff used to take a priest, but I'm ordained by the Universal Life Church (ULC) so I'll spill the beans on this one.

1.) Post your question on Yahoo! Answers
2.) Wait 3 Days (No more, no less)
3.) Read the Yahoo! Answers provided
4.) Choose the "best answer" as the one which most agrees with whatever you believe in ignoring any basis of fact or reason
5.) Post a review on Amazon.com about how the ouija board caused screams at night and killed your neighbors dog.
6.) Place an ad for the haunted Ouija board on ebay.
7.) Profit... actually.

If spirits/demons were able to move objects, why would you need to place your hand on the object for the ouija board to work?

Because it is not spirits moving it, it is the people who's hands are on the board, using the ideomotor effect.

Try asking the spirits to move it, without anyone touching it. It will not happen. Why? because there are no spirits.

Since your mind has been primed to expect spooky things, you will be interpreting things in a distorted manner. All you need to do is realize ouija boards are rubbish, you have nothing to fear, and you will soon see there is no curse.

All that NONSENSE?

Rational thinking? Be gone.

this is a haunted piece of cardboard.

You need the "real" kind of help.

As has been posted up-thread, I do know a real helper.

Her fees are "modest". (I used to date her, and it only cost me ~usUS$12,672)

P.M. me, and NOT anyone else......I can still save you from Michael JacKson! (he was known to haunt those damn boards) (Squigie or Whatever)

Good Luck.

Forget the expansive quack which use old method to remove curse om broken ouija baord (blood ? It is the 20th century guys !). I promise you a cure using my new Quantum Memory Crystal Homeopathetic Facilited Transcendental method (tm). It will only cost you the paltry sum of 8765$ and 55 cents, and will work not only with this curse but all subsequent curse (*).

(*) this post is made in entertainment. We are not guaranting any result real or imaginary. Do not use in conjunction of a Tanuki repellent.

Sell the cursed Ouija on Ebay. Evil spirits normally fetch a good price. Not only will your bad luck vanish, your bank account will mysteriously fill up.

If you have a real antique (made before 1960) the board will sell for at least $50 in uncursed condition.

So you got blood on the Ouija board, huh? This kind of thing can be reversed by rinsing the board in another body fluid. I always pee on board games for luck. ;)

Moving around your room how? As in flying past your head in mid air, or as in you could have sworn you left your keys over here and now they're over there?

At any rate, the most likely explanation for the moving objects and bad luck is that you are spooked and making more of things than you normally would.

Your both having bad luck at the same time? That couldn't possibly be a coincidence. But maybe your really having good luck. Suppose you were in a car accident, that would be bad luck......but if you weren't hurt it would be good luck.....I think.....unless you got a citation then it would be bad luck. What if the other driver had an old beat up car and didn't bother putting a claim in to your insurance company? That would have to be considered good luck.

You see this whole "luck" thing is complicated.
