A thread for those here who deny Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist.
 
I'm guessing "those" might the ones who deny he was a murderer, wife beater, marksman or anything else he might have been.

Yes. His main characteristic, assuming he was sincere about the things he said and did, is that he was nuts. The Soviet authorities also took this view. Wiki.
On October 21, the day his visa was due to expire, he was told that his citizenship application had been refused, and that he had to leave the Soviet Union that evening. Distraught, Oswald inflicted a minor but bloody wound to his left wrist in his hotel room bathtub ... the Soviets kept him in a Moscow hospital under psychiatric observation until October 28, 1959.

That he was inspired by an understanding of dialectical materialism is very dubious. And he was not a member in good standing of the Communist Party of the USA.

But above all, the assassination of JFK was not a "commie plot" and neither the Russians nor the Cubans nor native US communists were involved in organising it. Oswald was a "lone nut" or if he was the willing or unconscious agent of a conspiracy, it was not a commie conspiracy - nor even a Zionist one, MaGZ.

Oswald himself denied being a communist, sort of. When he was asked whether he was a communist, he preferred to identity himself as a Marxist.

I think this one goes more along the lines of...

Oswald was a communist. Oswald killed Kennedy. So if we would have correctly supported the paper-hanger, he would have whipped communism and Kennedy would never have been assassinated...

.... and we'd all be singing Heil To The Chief.

There's a large, albeit insane, literature on how Mossad concocted the plot to kill JFK. Google up zionists and Kennedy assassination or the like, and read it for yourself, if you can bear it. I was just wondering if MaGZ was familiar with such theories. Perhaps he can tell us.

Eh. I'll give it a shot.

Oswald wasn't a communist. He wanted to be a communist, but the communists didn't want him.

My impression of Oswald is that he was just generally disaffected, and desperately wanted to fit in with any counter-culture group that would have him. Communism was just the biggest rebel set on the block at the time. If Oswald was alive in the 90s, he might well have gone Goth instead.
