There was an ad for this website in one of the campus rags:

http://www.theeyefix.com

It states:

Orthoculogy reverses the nearsighted shape of the whole eye instead of just a part of it. It tends to reverse the myopic shape of the eyeball, lens, and cornea back to their normal shape.

It also claims to be "proven and patented."

As best as I can tell, the procedure is to wear an "OrthoC" lens for 15 minutes a day to "gradually" reshape the eyeball. The ad in the paper says "Correct you nearsightedness in only five (5) minutes." Pretty bold claim.

Has anybody heard of this before? Googling "orthoculogy" just seems to bring up 31 hits most of which are instances of the advert above. Seems real fishy to me, but I thought this would be a good place to ask about it.
