The Birther Queen is back!

https://lawandcrime.com/crazy/denti...-trump-impeachment-trial-is-unconstitutional/
Orly Taitz, the conspiracy theorist, dentist, and attorney who led the “birther” movement’s litigation to contest the reality that Barack Obama was born in the United States, is suing Vice President Kamala Harris and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in an attempt to stop the U.S. Senate from presiding over a trial connected to former President Donald Trump’s historic second impeachment.

This will be thrown out of court faster than Melania throws Donnie out of bed when he tries to crawl in more than the once every other month their marital contract allows.

This is rubbish. It is 5 pages long, including the cover sheet and a mostly blank sheet that just continues her contact information at the end. It doesn't even address venue or standing or things of that nature. A drunk monkey could write a better complaint in 10 minutes just hammering away randomly on a keyboard.

Oh I can go one better...

Mr. Eric "I failed at suing Twitch over my inability to stop masturbating to the thots on it" Estavillo has now sued Twitter, AOC, and Ilham Omar over Trump's account being banned on Twitter, claiming that it is a violation of his free speech that he now can't follow Trump on Twitter but can continue to follow the "Communist Propaganda" of AOC and Omar. Oh and a whole lot of stuff about how Twitch was mean to him and that he has no friends.

Remember that Super Jock toy from the 1970s that was a plastic football player with a little football where you pressed down on his head to kick the ball? The courts are going to get out the Super Jock and slam that head to kick this case to outer space.

Okay, you win, he is crazier than Orly. But only time will tell if Estavillo can have the sort of long and fruitless career filing ◊◊◊◊◊◊* crazy law suites that Dr. Taitz esq. has had!

Is this thread where we can talk about the arguments?

I have listened to the arguments for the side that is saying the senate can, and I don't think they are great. If it wasn't set up that way, the politician can simply resign to avoid it? So what?

What will this kind of thing do is making impeachment something barely worth mentioning instead of big deal it should be, used in most serious circumstances.

USA's rot continues, slightly slower.

If the legal conclusion is correct, it isn't making anything. It would be the rule and correct determination of it.

Set against the lawsuit(pdf link) citing LoTR (and getting the cite wrong), this latest clownlawyering from Orly seems almost sane. Wrong, since there is precedent for a trial - Belknap was tried after he left office - but relatively sane.

No. This is the thread where we get to gloat over how much smarter we are than Orly Taitz and other conservative nutcases.

Nobody cares what you think, and we won't engage because we know what happens if we try.
