Heh, I'd always suspected that people who get up at 4 am to deliver newspapers are interlopers from another planet.

I really enjoyed the last commentary. This particular case reminded me of when I was a kid and made myself investigate things that seemed scary. My curiousity overrode my overactive imagination. I had to find out what really made 'that noise' or 'that light'.

Some people just never make it past the point where they question their imagination or something.

When I was really little (probably about 3 or 4) I used to wake up from a recurring nightmare that there was a monster jumping on my parents' bed sometimes. I would wake up and realize that it wasn't a dream because I could still hear the bed squeaking. I was never brave enough to go and see what was really making the noise. It wasn't until years later that I finally put 2 & 2 together.

It's probably a good thing I never investigated. I might have been scarred for life.
