"One nation under God" dated?

Besides the Consitutional issues involving the separation of church and state, I feel this phrase in the American Pledge of Allegiance has become dated after the fall of Communism and the 9/11 attacks. Soviet Atheism is no longer the nation's enemy but Islamic theocratic extremists are.

I could handle "One nation under conscience."

Gotta say that it doesn't really bother me, though. Too much time is often spent going after symbols instead of reality. When I think of all the time feminism wasted on "herstory" and such nonsense, when the movement should have been pushing for better reproductive health care or something USEFUL...well, anyway.

Definitely. Going after a stupid little phrase that doesn't mean anything- doesn't have any practical legal implications, is just a waste of time.

Lets take ourselves a little less seriously.

That phrase is one of those things that I would like to see gone, but the actual act of removing it is more trouble than it's worth.

But I have a much more important reason for posting. I want to address the OP. Not the content, but the name.

Tarot,
Welcome to the forum. Do you have a link for the rules in English? I have tried to play the game, but I only have the rules in French, and I haven't found them in English. I kinda sort almosta read French, and we weren't sure if we had the rules correct.

Meadmaker, English rules for Tarot

:) I have translated the rules from the FFT (Fédération Française de Tarot) website. As a newbie I cannot post links but my website would be accessible from my profile.

Thanks. Now at least I'll be able to figure out if I was playing correctly.
