For the skeptic:

Please identify this horrible organic "thing".

Data:

For more than a century, recordings of these things known as globsters support that they have washed ashore worldwide for many, many years. On the pictures available they have no recognizable features with resemblance to any known animals, nor do they have bones according to the legends. What are they?

In July 2003 a globster washed ashore on a beach in Chile. This time a DNA test was possible:

"The skeptics finally got their voices heard after a anatomical and DNA test were performed, proving without a doubt that the animal was a sperm whale. The carcass appeared to be a near twin to St. Augustine monster, down to the local tales of giant octopodes called "The Hide". There is finally an explanation for how the skin of a whale can morph into an octopus like shape. After the whale died, the carcass was eaten partially by animals and torn apart by gasses, leaving the skin and blubber layer intact. The explanation was thought to be far fetched by some cryptozoologists before, but it now appears that it is the most likely solution to the globster problem. It appears that now not only can the basking shark made a pseudoplesiosaur, but a sperm whale can make a pseudo-octopus. Unless a genuine giant octopus shows up, the mystery of the globsters is over."

The globster in question here is the one in the picture above.

For the bleever.

If you're in Bangkok and you need that extra religious boost to make your holiday filled with divine light, you know, get that missing sacred spice to complete your journey: Then why don't you see your way to the Holy Penis Shrine?

...just behind the Hilton hotel. (Sorry for the rude language here, but that is actually the name.)
It may not be a St. Christopher's medal, but maybe it was inspired by him.
Skepchicks with bleever tendencies should be warned if any sinful and wicked thoughts should have occured. These holy.. artifacts.. are up to 10 feet (3m) tall!

I'm not all sure about this, but I hardly think this shrine was build to celebrate the virgin Mary.

On second thought it must seem rather redundant to examine an odd phenomenon when the explanation is already known. I, myself, would most likely just highlight the spoiler and get to the point. But still, it must be rather relieving to realize that it's just the rotten corpses of aliens from the NGC 3456 galaxy, and not some woowoo thing like a rare animal or something.

What say ye, men, will ye splice hands on it, now? I think ye do look brave. A sharp eye for the White Whale; a sharp lance for Moby Dick

I couldn't figure out what the "thing" was. The black blob to the right of the photo with what looks to be half an arm? The long white string hanging in midair? The greenish-grey thing in the background with a whiteish band that extends across the whole photo? Or the dead corpse in the foreground?

Help!

Um, I think it was the dead corpse in the foreground (as opposed to any live corpse you might be seeing).
Oops, forgot to list Newt Gingrich, the live corpse at the other end of the string. :( :o :)

I think Thomas just wanted to make a post using the words "penis" and "sperm."
That's absolutely not correct, because I use those words several times each day already - when I pray, or call the dentist for a new appointment, you know, regular stuff. I hold no desire to say those words more than twenty-one times a day.

However, my world is trashed now, I always thought "penis" to be a rude word, now I have come to realize that people didn't even think me a bully when I sprayed out that word for my own personal amusement. What a blow.. I think I will begin to say nipple instead. Nipple.

The knight who says.. nipple.

nipple.
