It probably is a really great thing that he doesn't have the smooth PR people that Dubya had. Colin Powell sold that war and the bravado of Cheney and Rumsfeld initially impressed some people - until they figured out it was all ********.

I tried to give it the most charitable interpretation - sheer dumbassery. I think the more sinister interpretations, which are justified in this alt-right administration, go down that path. At a minimum, it's evincing a lack of consideration significant enough to be totally ignorant about the freakin' Holocaust.

Originally I was surprised by the unexpectedly high Jewish votes for Trump. A Jewish friend pointed out that Trump was campaigning with a plan to do something within the range of barring Muslim immigration at the minimum to perhaps denying citizenship to and perhaps expelling Muslims at the extreme end. OK, I get it I guess.

Spicer just makes this kind of gaffe again and again.....and Trump is not making him do that. The guy is just an incompetent.
