Just heard on Public Radio that democrats got phone calls telling them that Kerry has a sizeable lead, and their vote won't really be needed, please stay home.

I don't know who thought that might work, especially in NH...

2 years ago, there was an organized (republican officials admitted this!) effort to block get-out-the-vote calls...somebody doesn't learn.

The NRC outspent the local democratic candidate 6 to 1 on negative ads. Paid for by out of state national funds. One I saw actually accused the democrat candidate of causing the cancer of an old Indian woman. The Republican candidate lives in Virginia 99% of the time.

Won easily.

Fox has called NH for Kerry, only channel to do so at the time.

Honestly, I have no problem with "dirty tricks" like these. in fact, I find them to be quite funny. If people are stupid enough to fall for it, then they shouldn't be voting anyhow.
