Happy October! If you see what you think is an extraordinarily funny, crazy, or absurd conspiracy-related quote, post it here, tell us where you found it, and include a link to the post. Shortish quotes are preferred. Enjoy!

Yeah...go write another article bitching about LCF censoring subjects and then explain why you have a private myspace truth group...****in hypocritical *******.

On LCF, the admins determine what they feel is inappropriate here just as mods everywhere determine what they do and don't allow on their boards. You have a problem with that? Remember nobody is holding a gun to your head and making you post.

I nominate Txguy for being a JREF'er defending censorship on the
Loose Change forum - I just like the "historical" irony in that.

I nominate Terral for all his posts about the pentagon but if I have to narrow it down to one quote it would be this one:

Anyone who has watched two episodes of CSI [ Crime Scene Investigation = Grissom is one of my heroes :0) ] knows the very first job of any real CSI investigator is to recreate the original crime scene.

I damn near passed out laughing.

Your links don't seem to match what you cut and pasted, Oliver. The links just go to threads without going to the particular posts that you seem to be trying to highlight. Please try again.

And then please explain how they are Stundie-worthy, and also why they should be in the October nominations rather than the September nominations.

Those comments are within the Threads I linked to. Why
don't they match? And since TX's first remark is violating
the Board-Rules here -oh, the irony- I don't want to link
directly anyway.

Linking to an entire thread is not appropriate. You need to link to a specific post, and in the case of LCF, you should probably also get a screen capture since they delete so many posts and threads there.

You've been around long enough to know the Stundie guidelines, Oliver. Heck, you even created the statuette. Why are you playing dumb now?

Also, why nominate a September post for the October award? Get thee to the September thread, stat!

Many thanks to Gravy for getting the ball rolling this month, and for the finals for this month! I hope there wasn't too much confusion - I've only had the internet back as of today, and things are going absolutely crazy up here in Sydney!

As of the 12th of this month I be back in safe sane Melbourne, where the interwebs are plentiful, and where I won't be confounded by download limits, broadband outages, and the Sydney public transport system (may it spend an eternity in the seventh level of accounting hell).

Many thanks again to quarnos for organising last month's Stundies.

Hmm, I don’t see how those are “extraordinarily funny, crazy, or absurd” but maybe there’s some sub-text I don’t get. I only just figured out who Stundie is!

That one caught my eye too. Terral’s posts contain a mother lode of I-can’t-believe-he-said-that stuff. The downside is trying to wade through it.

ETA: Maybe it would be a good idea to repost the guidelines for those of us who have recently joined the forum.

Short answer: Oliver doesn't like Rule 10.
Long answer: Look through the threads in Forum Management discussing swearing on the forum. I suspect most discussions about the validity of the nomination will probably end up getting moved there (because that's where they belong).

October has always been a month of boring stupidity as opposed to a good September batch of funny stupidity. November will bring "A thousand points of stupidity". But it all stems from the beginning of the stupid universe created by the Big Stupid, before which all stupid existed in a single point of stupidity.

I just picked up a true Christopher7 gem from his interminable WTC7 thread.

Refraction is just an attempt to explain away the obvious differences.
You can see these differences or you would not be trying to explain them with refraction.

I hardly even know where to start with this one. Why would anyone be trying to explain differences between two photographs that can't be seen? And what's wrong with using optics to explain visible effects?

Dave

Not so much a Stundie nomination, but a quote of "researcher" Jim Marrs giving a succinct summary of 9/11-CTs.

Another lie is the official conspiracy theory of 9/11 – that is, 19 crazed Arab hijackers with tiny blades were able to overcome a $40 billion defense system and capture four commercial airliners, turn off their transponders almost simultaneously and then skillfully guide them into prominent buildings at speeds exceeding than their design speed, all the while under the control of a Muslim cleric using a computer in a cave in Afghanistan. Add to this the fact that no modern steel building has ever collapsed due to fire, that the 47-story WTC 7 (The Salomon Brothers Building) dropped at free-fall speed but was not hit by airplanes and that a Boeing 757 with a 125-foot wing span could not possible have created the small 15X20-foot hole at the ground floor of the Pentagon as seen in photos before the west wall collapsed and the whole thing becomes unbelievable. By the way, how did the much-publicized 9/11 Commission explain the collapse of WTC 7? They didn’t bother to mention it in their omission-filled report!
He didn't forget anything, did he?

How does one fill a report with "omissions"?

Since the stundies is a thread for showing detachment from reality I would like to nominate Patrick from CS blog.

Patrick was presented with a statement from Chief Nigro( many thanks to Ref) to which he replied
i'm sure he retired a very wealthy man
and
I think it's obvious he is lying

He was then asked the following question.

I want to be crystal clear on this one Patrick, I want to be absolutely sure I fully understand you, I want there to be no room for misunderstanding here, so again I will ask you this very simple question, it requires a yes or no answer.

Patrick.

Are you accusing Chief Nigro, of lying and being bought off to cover up the mass murder of his comrades on 911? Yes or no.

Patricks replies in all their glory.
Twoofer yes, I don't think it would be the first time someone has lied about the death of their comrades, see Pat Tillman
followed by
We have video footage which shows that the building comes down in a controlled manner. John Kerry said the same thing.

we also have a witness kevin mcpadden who's eye witness account shows that either he is a liar or Nigro is a liar.

Since the video evidence supports kevin mcpadden far more than it does Nigro we can see that Nigro is a big fat liar.

You children should know that big cities like New York and Chicago are fairly corrupt. It's not suprising to see the corruption extends to head of the FDNY.

I mean please if nothing else is true about 9/11, WTC 7 was a controlled demolition. I honestly don't understand how anyone could possibly trust this fire chief or think any differently. I mean what on earth is wrong with you people?

Oh the irony.

Patrick hangs out here.

How does one fill a report with "omissions"?

Loads of reports have pages that say "This page is intentionally blank"

Those are the pages that ought to be full of incriminating evidence, except the NWO sent in their "blanking" dudes to wipe it.
:boxedin:

OK, I don't CARE if it's not actually from a conspiracy thread. I'm going to submit this anyway:

Quoted for context (my comment on an Ion post):
Elizabeth I said:
Oh, why, oh, why, oh, WHY won't the Stundies accept any nominations that aren't conspiracy-related?
