This from Brodski in the "sell-out" thread.

If I made a hoodie It would have to be priced at £30.00 and i would need 5 orders to make it worthwhile. ( would not want to spend more money to send one to strip generator than it would make for the JREF).
If three more people are interested in a hoodie (or someone wants three hoodies) I will put the product up. They are available in a range of colors.

I SO want one of those. To the point where, if one more is needed to ensure viability of the product, I'm prepared to order two.

I don't know whether they all have to be the same design or not (the problem being the extra cost of giving one of each product to Strip Generator). However, any further takers to help get this off the ground?

Rolfe.

as much as id like one the price is a bit steep for me

would more orders allow for a reduction in price? i could try to drum up some business, lol

*jumps up and down, shrieking* Me!! Memememememememe!!!!!!! *waves hand frantically in the air*

I'd order two as well; I'm thinking I'd get one with the "cat with the gun" quote and the other with "making the world safe... for TYRANNY!" quote.

I'd love one but £30 is very expensive for a hoodie (you get hoodies for £10 here!)

If more people were in would it be cheaper?

I thought Shetland was expensive! £10 sounds like a steal.

I don't know if we have to go for just one design or not, but "Making the world safe for tyranny" gets my vote.

Brodski, you home?

Rolfe.

OK, numbers on the table here.
Comboutique works by selling items at a "base price" and allowing "shopkeepers" to set their own markups. The base-price for a hooded sweatshirt with one picture is £24.50.
If I were to produce a hoodie I would need to send one to Strip-generator, which would cost me £24.50. I am happy to pay this, but only if more than £24.50 goes to the JREF.

5 orders a £5.50 markup (£30 total price) will make £27.50.
If I get 6 interested people I'll sell for £29.50, 7 @ £29, 8 @ £28.50 10 @ £28 11 @ £27.50, 13 @27 and so on.

I would only be able to drop the price as low as £25 if I got 50 orders, which seems unlikely.

How much is that in real money?:D

Da&n! 60 bucks for a sweat shirt?

Well, I wouldn't be able to buy them both at once, but I'm still interested.

Comboutique's stuff seems to be good quality, so I can see spending sixty dollars for a sweatshirt I suppose. Not often, mind you, but every once in a while I can splurge like that.

Does this mean we all have to have the same design, otherwise you have to give Strip Generator more than one?

Obviously, it would be more attractive having 2 if they could have different designs, but even if they have to be the same I'd still spring for 2 if I had to.

I think and Hokulele can correct me here, that strip-generator have said that 1 of each product, and one of each major design category. So if we offered Cat with gun, safe for tyranny and a cool hat hoodie in a range of colours, we would still only have to send one. As they allready have all of these designe.

looks like cafepress (US) has hoodies starting at $24.99 (not sure how much it comes to with design and markup, but still probably cheaper for us americans)

any chance of getting in there? or any other US-based site?

OK, I've just checked the US spradshirt price and their hoodie is $26.99 (depending on how many images and what size of image), about half the price of the UK one.

I think it would make more sense for everyone if even those people in the UK ordered from the US.

Thas more betterer.
I was beginning to think it was a NWO scheme to get US $$ into the UK system.
I mean--60 bucks for a sweat shirt, 30 for a coffee cup...
It's still a conspiracy! We can't get coffee mugs here!
%^&* NWO.

Yup, the US Spreadshirt hoodies are cheaper (stupid falling dollar values), and we would only need to send one sample to StripGenerator. I will see about adding one of each design when I get a chance.

Any preference on zip-up vs. pull-over?
