At present, my braille books are short stories by Elizabeth Taylor - no not that one!and I wonder what others think of them. I have only been introduced to her writing recently and agree with the view of one of my readers, who is reading 'Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont' to me, that she is a very good writer. I would not have been able to define why some years ago, but I have come to understand how every word is carefully chosen and placed.
anyway, some of the short stories I find frustrating because they are 'middles', with no beginnings or endings, and although you know what the future is going to be for the characters, you find the story has stopped!!
