On another thread, Olowkow questioned my decodings of Nostradamus that I supplied in an earlier post

I was quoting the Australian researcher, Ronald Pegg, who indicated that:

C1q1&2 document the 1995 French produced Ancient Civilizations of the Mediterranean cd-rom being used by Nostradamus on a cd-tray (saddle in the air). Source: Chapter Nine, Nostradamus Unsealed by Ronald Pegg; and
that Nostradamus has drawn a depiction of the Ancients cd-rom plus some of its contents (ibid. p211).

I then cited my own investigation of these things from my Report entitled A New Perspective - The Bible and Nostradamus, pp125-6.

Extract from Quote…..
My examination of these quatrains produced these results.

C1.q1
Estant assis de nuict secret estude
Seul repose sus la selle d'aerain;
Flambe exigue sortant de solitude
Faict prosper qui n'est a croire vain.

= To be sitting down in darkness. Secret study by oneself. In addition to pushing back out of the way the saddle in the air, a scanty quick blaze will come out of a solitary place; facts to pour out which should not be believed in vain;

C1.q2
La verge en main mise au milieu des branches
De l'onde il moulle & le limbe & le pied:
Un peur & voix fremissant par les manches;
Splendeur divine. Le divin pres s'assied

= the wand in hand put in the middle of the branches. In the water it drags the limb and the foot, and by quivering the handle, a fearful voice. Heavenly brilliance, the divine sit nearby.

C1.q3 (lines 1 & 2)
Quand la lictiere du tourbillon versee,
Et seront faces de leurs manteaux couvers,

= when the litter overturned by the whirlwind and of their faces are sitting on the mantle.
.
End Quote…..

Just one question:

What predictions have you decoded?

To clarify: "Predictions" is in reference to events not yet taken place and is not in reference to events already past.

As a Frenchman who is not unfamiliar with the art of translation...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

That is all.

Off with his head and then torture him!

What predictions have you decoded?
.
Nostradamus did not make any predictions.

He was visited by a time traveller who showed him ‘future’ historical information from at least two mid 1995 cd-roms, one being The Grolier Encyclopedia.

He then encoded this data and placed it in his various works.

The Australian researcher, Ronald Pegg, discovered this, and subsequently decoded some of the works of Nostradamus and extracted some of the historical events placed therein by him.

The decoding of C1 Qs 1-3 in my OP describes Nostradamus sitting at a computer and bringing forth the imagery from the 1995 French produced Ancients Civilizations of the Mediterranean multimedia cd-rom.

Nostradamus names Ron Pegg plus the location of where he made his discoveries.

Ronald Pegg’s 2000/2001 discoveries may be found in his work entitled Nostradamus Unsealed – The Discoveries of Ronald Pegg, PPHC, 2006.

My Report regarding Pegg in the works of Nostradamus plus the cd-rom being described by Nostradamus may be found in chapter 5 of A New Perspective - The Bible and Nostradamus, PPHC, 2004.

A brief preview of my work includes the topics listed below and may be found here
- The City at 45 Degrees Identified, Quatrain 97 Century 6
- Nostradamus documents the 911 American attack in Presages 69 to 72
- The Apparatus of Nostradamus Identified
- C1 .81. Ronald Pegg found that Nostradamus documents some events from the 1991 Persian Gulf War in Quatrains C1:12-20, 1:28-30 and 1:79-85. (One example given)

Eddy Eddy Eddy. Waaaaaazzzzzzz Up? You know there is no Ronald Pegg. You know that the whole time traveller 1995 cd thing is just plain silly. Why continue?

Very good point. These sort of contradictions almost always appear anytime you give something like this even a cursory glance. It is like a really bad horror film I saw once where in the beginning of the movie the crazed killer was a ghost that was walking through walls but by the end of the movie the killer was a "regular werewolf". Even when you suspend your disbelief and assume "ok so in this story ghosts are real" it still does not make sense.

Get your story straight!!!!

Well...hardly a "bold statement", just fact. There are many translations on the web of Nostradamus' work. This is just one of them: http://yowusa.com/nostradamus/c1/

Looking at it closely, I see some errors there as well. Viz:
La republique par gens nouveaux vexee,
the new republic will be troubled by its people.

Clearly, it shoud be "new people" and not "new republic", which would be "nouvelle république'', (or république nouvelle)

The republic troubled by new people. ("wil be" is not in the text either)

One problem is that one often does not really know what the heck he was talking about. So an ambiguous word branches into two meanings which then branches later into more ambiguity. Translation involves a wee bit more than "providing a word by word decoding". If that were so, the BabelFish would be terrific. It really helps to understand something about the culture of the times as well.

16 century French did not care much about spelling, and often left off accents which would help the meaning. Gender and plural agreement were not always perfect, especially when the differences were not phonetic.

L'Académie Française managed to get that stuff honed to an art. :)

While I don't care to argue your translations, you just have some rather basic errors since you apparently have not studied French.

Looking up words is all well and good, but just google "la verge" and see what you get as the first hit. One could then picture old Nostradamus:

La verge en main mise au milieu de Branches
De l'onde il moulle & le l'imbe & le pied:

"la verge à la main, se mouillant le pied..." ou les chaussures, perhaps. :) Marrant, non?

Bonne chance, et bon courage, mon vieux!

Edit: For some really interesting reading, try Montaigne (also 16th century)...he makes sense at least, and way ahead of his time.

Clarification

If he looked at CDs from 1995 and documented the 911 attacks, then he must have made a prediction.
.
No prediction. I provided only a general overview.

From Pegg’s personal Diary Notes
June 2000
I discovered that the Persian Gulf War events are described in consecutive Quatrains of Nostradamus, and that the Bible Code People are also described in his French Quatrains.

August 2000
I decoded the Italian Ramotti’s decrypted Quatrains of Nostradamus; and discovered that Nostradamus viewed his “visions” on a computer. I discovered that there is a name given to the type of “concepts” that I have been using to find “hidden messages” in ancient manuscripts. It is called Green Language.

September 2000
Nostradamus, A Modern History 1990-2000 (Book 12) is my Study Document concerning “hidden messages” in the Quatrains of Nostradamus.

Pegg concluded that there was a time travel back step to Nostradamus for this information to be included in mid 1500’s documents. The Quatrains contained this information.

September 12th 2001
I discovered the New York WTC attack in the Presages of Nostradamus.

Somewhere Pegg says that a second ‘back-step’ was made to Nostradamus so that the 911 WTC attack could be told and encoded.
But as the ‘Centuries’ had already been completed, this new information could not be included in them, thus the information was placed in another set of works called The Presages.

OK, firstly Edy - stop with the Pegg nonsense. We know you and Pegg are one in the same person.

Secondly, if there was a "second back step", why not just go back to before the books were published?

.
It would change history from that point on (as far as what was documented in the Qs) and break the encoding cipher that was placed in the works of Nostradamus.

So what was the purpose of the first Nostradamus "back step"? And what was the purpose of the second Nostradamus "back step"?

How so?

1a) Futuristic guys bearing gifts of 1995 CD roms arrive from the future
1b) Futuristic guys arrive from the future again, with updated CDs that include 911
2) Nostradamus writes 'Centuries' with whatever encryption scheme he desires
3) Profit.

Edy is simply flogging his book/CD again - i.e. trolling. He doesn't have a sodding clue what he is talking about (even I, a non-French-speaker, can tell his translations leave a lot to be desired...like accuracy), but he loves to point at his own material which is for sale.

Or else he is an entirely uncompensated victim of extreme OCD.

Personally, I think he's a sales-troll, but there you go - what do I know of psychiatry!

If you read the book "How to Build a Time Machine", which by the way is a great read, it shows that time travel will only be possible from that point in time, when the first time machine is built.

It will be impossible to travel back before that point in time.

Seems to solve the CD problem for me.

:)
