On February 9, 2012 psychic actress, claimed medium, and author Noreen Renier planned and knowingly fabricated deceptive charades before 144 audience members at the Clinton School of Public Service located on the University of Arkansas campus.
At a center dedicated to higher education and post-graduation master degrees Noreen Renier even tossed out crude remarks apparently of a dead black woman connected to a family experiencing poltergeist activity. Noreen Renier told the Clinton School audience that inside the poltergeist home a police officer was unable to hold down a chair lifting off the floor and was “ducking and dodging” flying objects. Renier said that the phone suddenly rang and the officer was told “to get your white ass out the house.”
One wonders how many Clinton School of Public Service employees laughed at such crude remarks.
This appears to be same fantasized and non-existent case where Noreen Renier previously testified under oath that she had communicated with a ghost who then stopped toilets and plumbing from overflowing.
Audience members may laugh but Renier has racked up $1000 fees for a few minutes of phone conversation with families across the country who pay her to locate their missing family members and children. And across four decades of collecting thousands of dollars from grieving familes she never has delivered a lost child.
She does however establish her “super psychic” marketing and media ties to clients willing to pay her typically from $8 to $16 per minute for phone readings by ties to highly naïve centers like the Clinton School for Public Services.
Adding to the spectacle Noreen Renier told the Little Rock area audience about her “lifetime of association with scientists and research” including a program at Duke University where “they put neurons on my head.”
The reality is that Noreen Renier may not have an education beyond the eighth grade --- and her presentation made even that level doubtful.
Renier offered back-to-back stories calculated and crafted for maximum sensationalism in an apparent attempt to satisfy her craving for public attention.
The Clinton School had promoted the event as connected to Renier’s new book titled ‘The Practical Psychic.’ But the book was heavily ghost written and --- not surprisingly --- Renier never mentioned the title or talked about the book.
She just offered endless paranormal charades and stupidity.
Apparently the screening and qualifications for providing a public lecture at the Clinton School of Public Service are very low indeed. Indeed the Clinton School of Public Service ignored concerns provided a week before that Noreen Renier continues to promote exaggerated and non-existent academic credentials. And of course that a federal judge in 2011 ruled that she was not credible and had misled a federal court.
Yet for a full 45 minutes the Clinton School of Public Service provided her a public forum to wreak havoc in containing pseudoscience and paranormal claims.
What was the Clinton School of Public Service thinking in providing her a promotional platform before the public for such remarks?
