NORAD Releases more 9/11 audio

This is reportedly material that has never before been released. I'd like to see the official explanation as to why we are getting it 6 years late. While I know that NORAD didn't do anything evil on 9/11, I do wish they did a better job of full disclosure.

"The North American Aerospace Defense Command and the United States Northern Command have released a copy of their audio files, telephone conversations and situation room discussions, from the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The files are posted on governmentattic.org​

Having looked... this is not additional audio - this is just someone else publicly releasing their FOIA release of the same NORAD recordings that have already been released in other FOIA releases.

It seems this is mostly the tapes that were released before, but there are three new channels, too. Their PDF file has the links mixed up, but you can use the tooltips to find out which is which, or download them directly from my page.

Oh, well spotted Mike... looks like there's two new Tracking Tech channels and an Op channel for the Aircraft Control and Warning Officer.

Boloboffin - these are all recordings of various positions on the NEADS operations floor, abbreviations are as follows:

MCC - Mission Crew Commander
ID - ID Technician
TT - Tracking Technician
ACWO - Aircraft Control and Warning Officer
AST - Air Surveillance Technician
SD - Senior Director
AICC - Air Interceptor Control Common (or variations thereof)
