Nah! When it comes to mythological epics I much prefer Dracula.

I haven't seen the movie, just previews and heard it has an environmentalist spin and an atheist director. In the movie, does Noah know there's a big storm coming because God told him so, or was he an early climatologist?

Should be a good movie... just keeping in mind the lack of foundation for the story.

Got a free pass to a preview, it was pretty poor. Too long, too loose plotwise, Noah highly unsympathetic (probably Aronofsky's directorial vision I suspect). Overall, rather boring. An interesting concept (the reimagining of the story) but poorly done.
Jennifer Connolly and (especially) Emma Watson were good but they simply didn't have the room to shine.

As I was saying to my friends earlier, a movie that is annoying Christians, Muslims and atheists must have something good going for it.....


What I want to know is, ignoring the Biblical basis, does the movie work as a fantasy?

I was annoyed that they made three movies out of The Hobbit. Making one movie out of 5 bible chapters? I don't have the words... They must have mined the appendices hard.

Actually my understanding is that some christian are upset because the movie did not take liberties with some point of the story, aka, by making clear yhwh wanted to wipe all human out etc... Saw comments to that effects on some forums, where people thought about what they were told in sunday class rather than read the damn story themseles.
