Well, I thought it was funny, anyway.

When asked what he thought of some folks labelling Bill Clinton "the First Black President" - which I must assume is due to his popularity among African Americans, it's not something I had heard before - Obama quipped back

"I don't know, I haven't seen him dance."

Some people are crying foul for some sort of racial double-standard here (the stereotype is that white people can't dance) but I thought it was pretty darn funny and those folks just need to lighten up.

If dancing is the main criterion for blackness, then Obama is whiter than me. I have seen him dance on the Ellen show.
 
Despite his 'change' tourettes, Obama's quipping style has certainly jazzed up these debates. He is tremendously quick-witted.
