NHS Lothian consultation on homeopathy

Likewise.

Quick,Somebody find Rolfe and tie her down.

I'm not sure why they feel this need be anonymous. I'd be happy to tag an NHS ID on.

Done, despite living in Kent

It just seems crazy they even have to consult about it :boggled:

So can anyone get to the physical meetings?

I can, but I actually live three miles outside the Lothian boundary, and technically in the Borders catchment area (though of course I use Lothian services as the nearest hospitals to me are in the Lothian region).

Rolfe.

I should be able to make the 4th October one.

Rolfe- did you know your PM box is full?

The obvious concern is that the authories will place more wieght on the public meetings rather than written responces and homeopaths with a dirrect financial interest are more likely to turn up.

I note that all but the Dalkeith one on 10th October are during working hours and would be impossible for people in full-time jobs to get to. I can go to the Dalkeith one after work though.

I wonder if these timings are deliberate, to allow the meetings to be packed with yummy mummies?

Rolfe.

I may be able to make it to the West Lothian one (yummy mummy that I am :D ). But it's on my 40th birthday, so I may well find I have something better to do that day.

More likely they simply don't want to pay more overtime than they have to.

Fixed that Rolfe, you work-shy person you. :)

Would love to hit-up the West Lothian one but alas, this yummy daddy has to work.

Ah, the trials and tribulations of the general practitioner. My heart bleeds.

I work just 15 minutes from Dalkeith, so I should be able to do it.

Rolfe.

Maybe I'm just hyper-sensitive but what relevance has the question on rating your experience with their homeopathy service other than so they can justify providing it by saying 'look 65% of people who use it think its great' or whatever?

Didn't see anything in that document on consulting residents, I'm waiting when they do ....

It says that "the review will be conducted in accord with CEL 4(2010) in terms of engagement of stakeholders in potential service change", and that "as a first task, the group will identify all stakeholders in the homoeopathy service, and will include the views of these stakeholders in the preparation of any recommendations."
