I can't seem to find the transcript for this interview but, Ventura wants to have all highschool seniors watch some movie by Oliver Stone. Now, I don't know which movie he's talking about but this proposal of his is just as absurd as someone who wants to insert their own conspiracy theory into our children's curriculum. If Ventura has ever made the statement that he does not want to force his ideas on us, especially our children, then he's the biggest hyppocrite that I've ever known.

Ya gotta love the way he is trying to appeal to CT Loons all across the poltical spectrum.
On Larry King the other night he was praising the Tea Party movement, now he is appealling to the other side of the spectrum. I can just see some of his Tea Party fans sputtering in disbelief at Jesse's praise of the Castro Wannabe Chavez.
As for making JFK required viewing in History courses..I could almost get behind that, it it's purpose was to present to students a example of bad history. But I doubt that is what Ventura had in mind.
Jesus, the guy is now simply pimping all over the loony political specturm for suckers.
It also fits in with my theory that Conspriacy Theories are based upon a blind "Anti Establishment" paranoia, with specific poltical ideologies secondary to belief in a Vast, Evil Conspiracy. It is amazing how left and right wing Conspiracy Kooks, who you think would be at each other throats, can make nice in a common belief that THEY are out to get you.

Jesse Ventura is such a crappy debater. He was horrible on Larry King. He always reverts back to the fact that he was a Navy Seal/Veteran and that he was governor and if his opponent can't match that, Ventura thinks it's some sort of a silver bullet and starts calling them chickenhawks, lol. Dude sucks.

Ventura's Pentagon 201 file has his MOS as UDT (frogmen) "5321s."
SEALs are "5326s." Ventura served in UDT Team 12. He was never a SEAL, never saw combat, and was never stationed in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.

Yea, I knew he was UDT, I just didn't clarify. He always fronts with that Navy Seals hat though, lol.

True, but I know he served in combat in Central America. There is video footage of it.

UDTs and SEALs merged at some point, most SEALs don't seem to have a problem with him saying he was one, last I read. I don't think he claims combat experience, but he does trot out the SEAL thing at the drop of a hat. Any hat.

Still crazy if he actually believes the BS he's been spewing, but I chose to believe he's just gone back to being an entertainer who has a decidedly loose affiliation with reality. Back to professional wrestling, only with fewer brawny men and more pretending to be serious. :D

ETA: I saw that footage, it managed to make 2 governors with it's sheer awesomeness. ;)

The same footage showing him wasting in 5 seconds his entire supply of ammo on Kevin Hall. The special effects men said there was plenty of room in the front of Ventura's pants to hide the electrical cable that powered the minigun.

They merged in 1983, long after Ventura left the military. Of course he claims combat experience.

"Howard Stern asked if Jesse had any enemy kills when he was a Navy Seal, but Jesse still refused to say: “That's something any military man keeps to himself.” Jesse said even his own father would only tell him the “fun stuff” about war – he had to hear from his mother that his dad had driven a tank over fields of dead bodies."..

Playboy: You've never talked about what you did as a SEAL overseas. Did you do anything you're ashamed of?

Ventura: No.

Playboy: Would you like to talk about it?

Ventura: No.

Playboy: Have you ever killed anyone?

Ventura: You don't ask a question like that - it's inappropriate.

"In 1984, just before a scheduled Madison Square Garden main event with Hulk Hogan, Jesse was rushed to the hospital in San Diego with a pulmonary embolism. Treatment of the blood clot required blood thinners, any bleeding in the ring would have been dangerous. He claimed it was due to being exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam."

Maybe when he was making "Predator" Ventura thought he was doing a docudrama....

No wonder Governor Arnie is not returning Jesse's calls nowdays.

How come he rarely gets confronted in interviews on all his outlandish claims? Stern never calls him out, neither does Hannity. The only person that had the balls to challenge him was Jim Norton on O&A and that ◊◊◊◊ was hilarious.
