It's been here for a long time, but the homeopaths have kept it secret from the general public.

The solvent they use to dilute their remedies with is actually pure unobtainium. This stuff has no memory whatsoever of past substances it has been in contact with, but a homeopath can activate the memory-function so that the unobtainium will remember the substance that the homeopath is diluting with it.

Fascinating stuff....

Is it activated with a button or a switch?

In case of a female homeopath it is probably activated by a combination of the two, often referred to as a "bitch"... :D

Very clever! Did you come up with that? Can we used it?

:D

Ohh, try the groups search on audio newsgroups, and see if you can pick up Dick Pierce's articles on silly designs for audio cables.

One of his (excellently aimed) methods of ridicule was to refer to a cable made of "solid unobtanium". Lemme see if I can find an article.

Drat. Looks like he's used "noarchive" for most of his posts. Found one, it's not "basic".

The first time I heard the term "unobtanium" was to describe the metal that Suzuki motocross bikes were made of , circa 1974 or so.
At the time, the sport was dominated by Euro brands that averaged 250 pounds plus. (CZ, Husqvarna, Maico) Suzuki decided to jump into the sport and hired two hot Belgian racers and put them on sub-200 pound prototype wonders.
Changed the sport forever.

See the movie, "The Core".
Heh. The "unobtainium" in The Core could withstand 9000 degrees of heat and 800,000+ atmospheres of pressure without buckling, but would fail if you scratched it with a diamond.
