Need help remembering a Kennedy Assassination debunking show

I dimly remember watching an episode of something on TV where they managed to physically recreate the Kennedy "magic bullet" shot entirely from Oswald's position and account for all the twists and turns. I thought it was a MythBusters, but I can't seem to confirm that online.

Does anyone else remember seeing this?

What they did was generate a computer model of the car, Kennedy, and the Texas Govener using the film footage, autopsy reports and specifications of the car to figure out how each were situated when the shot was fired. They figured out how it was at least possible to make the shot from a single shot, but didn't know if it could actually be done.

They then mocked up two dummies with bones and materials that approximately matched the density and consistancy of internal organs. They positioned the dummies in the same orientation, put a target on the original entry point on the Kennedy dummy, and a sharpshooter in a cherry picker at the right height and distance. Using the same gun and ammo as Oswald, the sharpshooter made a very similar shot to the Kennedy and Govener dummies. It didn't quite penetrate all the way due to hitting a little too much bone at one point, but was close enough.

Sound familiar to anyone?

The show I linked had them adjust one of the seats to match its actual position, and shifted the bodies out of the "lego man" position CTs were fond of. They got the bullet to tumble sideways at one point, and got a forensics guy examining the record of the dummy's injuries to think it was two shots.

Even as a skeptic I believe there was a conspiricy with that assassination.

Nova also did a show on the "magic bullet" in the early 90's, that showed how it could have done the damage the Warren Comission theorized.

That sounds right. Thank you. Coulda sworn it was Myth Busters.

Well, we know the Mythbusters do have that ballistics gel fetish. That's probably what got you.

IF the one BronzeDog posted it the one I think it is, the do the magic bullet 99% perfectly. Their test the bullet went in and out of the JFK dummy, then right through the Gov, and actully bounced off the dummy's leg, instead of imbedding in slightly.

I also recommend THIS Its from the same series, in this one they recreate Oswald's actions and the shots, showing how easy it rally was for Oswald.

I think the one Peter Jennings did is the best debunking of the magic bullet ever.

They took the Zapruder film and created a computer animation that showed the assassination from all angles. Very, very well done.

This thread and associated links got me wondering again about something I hadn't really though about since I was in 5th grade and living in Dallas.

I have spent the past week read many sources and claims. I even rented and watched, and debated JFK with my roomates and bandmates as well as other documentaries we found at the library on it.

I was suprised after going back over all the evidence with the more skeptical mind that I have now how much of the evidence for a conspiricy doen't hold water. There is soooooooooo much info out there it is hard to sift through, and I am glad that type of thing is not my job....

I have now reason to believe it is the lone gunman, and was incorrect before.

Thank you for this thread.
