Nebraska Woman is Suing All Gays

Attn every LGBTQ person: counterclaim for emotional distress and malicious prosecution. After requiring her to serve you the complaint individually.

I hate Nebraska Nazis.

Sounds like someone ought to be suing Nebraska for dereliction in mental health services to elderly crazies.

Heh. Time reports that NBC reports that... And somehow manages to work in an advertisement for the Omaha World-Herald web app, which Dan Savage was thoughtful enough to include in his tweet on the subject.

Anyway, it must be a really slow news day for some reason. I bet the courts get similar crazy petitions across a wide range of subjects all the time. I hope this woman gets the help that she needs.

I also can't decide if I'm impressed that she managed to stay coherent enough to actually file a proper petition with the courts, or if I'm happy that the court petitioning system is indeed easily accessible - as it should be.

I can't quite summon the will to follow the link, but do find myself idly curious to know which court she thinks might have jurisdiction over all the gays in the world.

Mortal court, obviously.

No guys you misunderstand she just has a property line dispute with her neighbor, one Mr. Albert Leroy Gays. Al L. Gays.

I can't wait for it to set a precedent. Then I can sue all Lesbians and virgins- you know, under the "Thanks for Nuthin" doctrine.

“God, And His, Son Jesus Christ [sic]”

I am reminded of Captain Carrot's abuse of the common comma. Every nut case has a silver lining.

Apart from her lack of understanding about the reach of her legal system she doesn’t seem to hold “crazy” ideas as they are judged in her country. How many times have we heard “successful” preachers proclaiming the latest disaster is god punishing us for the sins of the homosexuals we allow to live in relative freedom? And this is not limited to just her own country, that belief turns up as a commonly expressed view and opinion in many countries.
