OK, my apologies in advance if this ever so important of a subject has already been covered, but I just came across it, and found it:

HE-LARIOUS

So let me try to give the summary of it in one long, run-on sentence:

So the Nazis were really into the Occult, and they were really into studying magical science super-duper weapons, and they found Atlantis, but it was not Atlantis, it was Antarctica, which was found by Piri Reis, an Ottoman-Turkish admiral in 1513, and there were warm caverns there where they could have submarine bases, and they sent supplies, and submarines, and scientists there, and they made UFOs there, and the UFOs attacked a US military convoy, but no one talks about that because it is super secret, and the Nazi UFO base is still there as proved by Google Earth, and there are most definitely still Nazi UFOs out there just waiting to strike.

Wheh.

OK, so there is such a thing as the Piri Reis map, and the Nazis (and the Americans) did work on circular aerial vehicles around WWII, but that seems to be where the facts end.

Here is some of the CT info on it:

Russia Admits NAZI UFO BASE IN ANTARCTICA,CONFIRMED BY GOOGLE EARTH TOO

Third Reich - Operation UFO (Nazi Base in Antarctica)

So any takes or amusing anecdotes to add? Or is Nazi UFOs good enough?

There is a "not very nice aspect" to Nazi UFOs. As you can imagine senior holocaust deniers write pamplets for profit by selling them to low IQ idiots. Ernst Zündel wrote such pamphlets but then decided to go the next step and make up stories about Nazi UFOs.

I will let Nizkor, an anti "holocaust denial" website give you the full story.

What I thought was particulary pathectic were the photos of Nazi UFOs. Most have a 1/72 scale Airfix German tank turret glued onto a 1/200 scale Auroa Model kit of the UFO from the TV show "The Invaders".

Note that the turret is upside down and yet it still has a cupola!

Well anything involving holocaust deniers is pretty yucky, but did you say "anti holocaust denier?"

In any case, his link was a pretty silly scam.

There can't be that many people who would take them seriously though... right?

I hope someone watches the video though, hilarity will ensue, I promise!

Nazi UFOs??
If the Nazis did make a flying object that resembled a circular spacecraft then surely it wouldnt be unidentified.
It would be just a flying object.

Yeah, the resident CTer (& stundie winner) of my football forum brings them up every now & again.

Of course the only CT he doesn't believe is that the moon landing was faked... but the nazi bell came back in time to carry the LEM & CM to the moon.

This paper, well worth reading, debunks thoroughly the "Nazi base in Antarctica" nonsense: Colin Summerhayes, Peter Beeching Hitler’s Antarctic base: the myth and the reality. There was even an article in Nature about it: "Did Hitler have a base in the Antarctic?"

Please Google them, I can't post links. The PDF can be found on www . histarmar . com . ar.

So lets run down the Nazi checklist. Has this thread mentioned spacships? The Cave Lands in the hollow earth? Antarctic ruins? A spear of destiny? Hitler clones? Atlantis?

I first came across the Nazi Flying Saucers idea in the 1970s. It helped to convince me that there was nothing to any of this UFO nonsense. It is a fun idea for a film or Role Playing Game, it is a dumb idea as actual history.

I remember being asked by a friend whether I thought the flying saucers over Antarctica were coming from the Hollow Earth hole or from a secret Nazi base. I didn't know the phrase "begging the question" at the time but I understood the concept.

Well yeah, but it is just so much cooler to call them UFOs.

UFOs with friken' lasers on their heads! :D

Well as far as red flags go, pretty much anything having to do with UFOs does it for me.

Microbes on asteroids is one thing, although none of the claims that microbes have been found on rocks from Mars, or on meteorites have never been proved, but even talking about that possibility just gives fodder to the crazies.

So, this is a documentery then?

Oh no...

That just looks like such a mad movie...

They did have fun with the Palin presidency though. But they should have made it more humorous though if they were trying to go copy the Mars Attacks! formula.

Airfix armoured vehicles are 1/76 scale, corresponding to 00 model railway scale, the most common UK model railway scale.

Nizkor is an anti holocaust denial website that fights against holocaust denial. It has articles debunking the claims of holocaust deniers like Zundel and his secondary Nazi UFO stories. Nizkor does good work.

Grrrr.....OK you got me. I'm a 1/35 man. However in one of the greatest conspiracies ever known to mankind Airfix did advertise some of their 1/76 models as 1/72 according to Arthur Ward's book "Model World of Airfix"

However this was probably a Mi6 plot so that when the People Liberation Army copied Western tanks using Airfix kits as a guide the full size tanks would end up being too big. cough cough splutter cough

(My mothers calling me and I have to go now)

Just a question

I don't believe in Nazi UFOs too. What makes me a bit nervous however is that in a book which is trying to separate fact from fiction:

http://archive.org/details/FlugscheibenberNeuschwabenlandreichsdeutsche

the page 64 (an interview with a pilot who had to make an emergency landing in Area 51, reporting to have seen modern versions of those alleged Nazi UFOs) is blanked out in the pdf - version and deleted in the text version (after page 63 comes page 65).
It could be interpreted as a publicity gag by the author and/or the publisher. The page however exists and can be found here (same author, excerpt from the book with page(s) preserved):

http://franken-buecher.de/flugscheibendiegrtelgeseit1945-buch_infos-71.html?tPath=1#top

Any idea?
