Is that we never have to deal with another Alan Keyes run for a political office.

For that matter, who else's career could use an end tomorrow? Tom Daschle is looking vulnerable.

If Tim Meadows was still around on SNL to imitate him, I'd disagree.

my hope is that there is a clear result and you all stop talking about it thereby freeing up a large amount of internet bandwidth.

Tom DeLay is having to fight for his seat. That's a political career that would be little mourned.

As for Keyes, I would miss him from the political scene. He's a refreshing dose of unadulterated looniness. (As long as he never has a chance to win.)

Tom Delay won't be missed. I realize that he acting out a role. The majority leader, the whip, etc have traditional roles to play and the truth comes second to promoting the party. However, I think Tom Delay is a liability to the more moderate republican image Karl Rove has been trying to build through backing moderate against incumbent democrats.

Plus, Delay has that squirrely eye.
