Another serious question for theists...If Christ is to rule on earth after the apocalypse and God is ruling in heaven...why? In a perfect world and a perfect heaven there would be no need for rulers or rules. Everyone would automatically do what is right, no need for someone to judge actions.

Hey, it isn't your perfect world. I don't think Christians would want it any other way than to be directly ruled by Jesus.

I never understood the need for Jesus anyway. If God is all powerful, surely he can forgive sins at will. Why did His son need to suffer at all?

Also, even if all the scientific evidence pointed to an intelligent creator, why would it point to a Xtian god? Why not a deist god who put us all here to make sure the earth could have plastic? George Carlin's idea not mine.

It is all well and good to say you are going to have a perfect ruler but what will his rule entail? Will he have to judge speeders? No one will be speeding. Will he have to rule on possessions? No one will argue over possessions.

I suspect that after two or three years of ruling perfect citizens doing nothing to rule on would bore JC out of his mind. Then you will see him starting trouble again just to have someone to fry in a holocaust of fire.

Seriously, I have never understood the concept of a perfect place where people will exist in perfect bliss for all time. What kind of bliss? Sexual? Mental? How would anyone who did not experience the bad know what the good is? Perhaps just knowing that others are burning in sulfur for ever is the ideal of perfection.

It's all part of the protection racket. God sent us his son to save us from the fire of hell, which is the punishment he will impose on us if we don't get saved.

It's kind of like the Don sending Guido to collect the money to protect your business from being destroyed in a fire that Guido will start.

Somebody's gotta stop all the perverted, hot sex. After all, you're supposed to find nonstop worship and companionship of The Lord as more pleasureable than ***** deep inside JLo's ***.
