How to be the perfect Republican:
1) Open mind.

2) Allow outsiders to pour absurd crap in.

3) Spew the crap back at the American voters

4) Insist that the voters just don't get it when they call it crap

She was an idiot to let someone feed her lines from a dirtbag like Pegler. She better learn to write her own speeches or she will just have to accept it if people spread the meme that she is a tool of the white nationalists.

(Any bets that she can actually write her own material?)
 
After a week of reminding us that all Sarah Palin did was read the speech, suddenly we're expected to believe she's responsible for that quote?

I always wondered who Westbrook Pegler was. I know him only from a line in a Chad Mitchell Trio song that said, "We think that Westbrook Pegler doth protest a bit too much."
 
That the airhead from Wasilla quotes someone so outrageous that he creeped out the Birchers tells me that she needs to stop and think a little bit more about what she is saying. Maybe she should learn to write her own material like Biden and Obama do.

I once sang that song as entertainment and, knowing my audience wouldn't recognize the name "Westbrook Pegler", I substituted "Old Rush Limbaugh".

Based on the article, I'm guessing the quote might have been heard by a speechwriter coming from Pat Buchanan. The writer may not have known it originally came from Pegler.
