The Palestinian Authority (P.A.) is going hat-in-hand to a Paris "donors conference", requesting $5.5-Billion in aid.

Who is going to verify that the money won't go directly to the purchase of weaponry that will be used against Israel?

From News Reports coming out of Gaza today ---
In Khan Yunis, Gaza, Iz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obaida said, "The enemy must be ready for black funerals. Al-Qassam Brigades will turn everything we have onto the head of the Zionists ... and attack them unexpectedly."

Nobody will, just as Israel didn't stick to not mishandling some defense dollars and tech on EW rader built under license.

So, if the donors will offer fungible assets, some will go to bombs and stuff.

That is how this game is played, IRL, in the nasty business of geopolitics.

Somehow, I suspect you already knew this, and were asking a rhetorical question.

That nasty little forever war, set in that small bit of land in the Levant, will continue, with thrills, chills, and fireworks aplenty.

Same stuff, different day.

War without end, an apt metaphor for the struggle that is life.

IIRC, the Vietnamese had a term for this: Dau Tranh. (I may have missed a few idiomatic nuances.)

Yes.

Not much more to add; This will likely be a short thread, as your eloquent post pretty much summed it all up. Dau Tranh. Appropriate, indeed.
