This is arguably off-topic because I'm just personally curious and not connecting it to anything else, but I suspect this is the best place to find an answer.

Does anyone have a link to the full text (if it's even been released) of the handwritten letter found in Mohammed Atta's luggage? There are excerpts here, but I was wondering if more has ever been released.

It's Moussaoui trial exhibit #BS01101

However, it's all handwritten, at times a bit sloppy and smudgy, in Arabic. Not sure if there is a translation somewhere. I am learning basic Arabic, but not far enough along to translate it myself. There must be a translation out there somewhere.

I thought they lost his luggage? They usually do (or was it a carry-on?).:jaw-dropp

He came on a connecting flight from Portland, Maine which may have been late into Boston. His checked luggage from the previous flight did not make it onto AA11.

Along with the letter in question they found his last will in the luggage.

Any idea why Atta took it with him on a suicide mission? Did Allah tell him the luggage wouldn't make it on the plane?

What I want to know is why he thought anybody would pay any attention at all to his desires on how his genitals should be washed.

Actually I'd suggest that it was a case of not understanding what would happen. In most plane crashes most of the the bodies and a lot of luggage is recovered. Had this been the same on 9/11 then a will in his luggage would have survived the crash and been near enough to his body that it's instructions could have been carried out. The fact the plane and his body would be pretty much destroyed probably never occured to him.

I equate the crashes to firing a carrot at an industrial cheesegrater using one of those tennis-ball firing machines.

Does he have a grave somewhere? If so, let's encourage women to visit it just to add to the disrespect for his willed desires.

Likewise, David Burke wrote a suicide note on an airsickness bag before shooting the pilots of PSA flight 1771. The note survived the crash.

This post will add absolutely nothing to the discussion but I just wanted to acknowledge the "samsonite gorilla" tag and applaud the OP for it. :D

Simple, which is more believeable.

1. Atta, having never crashed a je airliner before, thought his suicide note might survive, so decided to write it and pack it.

2. The evil Cabal, who planted intact passports of some of the hijackers in the rubble, decided rather than do that, with a few burn marks, a few tears, to plant it like a rosetta stone, so that people like CLE could say "well that seems pecular".
