In the UK at moment is a high profile suspected murder case, details How long before a psychic rears their ugly head? Dennis McKenzie...hello...? Im not psychic but Id say boyfriend did it!
:(

I was certainly intrigued by the boyfriends uncontrollable sobbing at the press conference just days after she went missing. If that wasn't through deep regret and guilt at what he may have done to her, I don't know what it was.

I predict a murder of passion. He's not psychotic or even a violent person normally, but something happened that triggered a rage in him which sadly led to her death.

I predict the body is within one hour car drive of the house. Make it 30 minutes or less.

I predict no weapon was used.

Rolfe I think he was joking.Police on TV saying "We have intelligence her body is in a wooded area near a metal gate, what's significant is there were green bottles nearby. If any farmers in the region can help us locate-or have any information...."
No picture of the gate, sounds too vague for a confession...Im worried this has come from a psychic.:(

You're right, there's stuff there that sounds extremely peculiar. I didn't read the link, I just heard on the radio this morning that the boyfriend had been arrested and looked for the related BBC link for the thread.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Rolfe.

Hi Rolfe that police quote was on TV this evening(I live in the county where she lived)its a very odd statement indeed. They know of this area but not where it is! Something fishy...sniff..sniff psychic...bulls**t!:)

It sounds like a confession... he went off and dumped the body in the middle of nowhere late at night, he's described it as best he can to the police, and they can't tell the media that he's confessed and told them where the body is --- in the interests of a fair trial and all that (NB: I'm guessing here --- I'm not a lawyer) --- so his confession becomes "intelligence".

This is just a guess, but it's more plausible than the police going woowoo --- they above all must know how rubbish the "psychics who help the police" are, what with all the crank 'phone calls they get.

It could perhaps be the results of forensic evidence from the car and the bf's clothing - ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ and green glass fragments in the tyres, mud on his boots, pine needles, twigs and leaves, and so on. The bit about the metal gate is puzzling, but maybe there was a fresh scrape on the car body, with some trace of rust or whatever from the gate.
Equally possibly, he could have taken a photo of the scene as a momento. Or he could have talked to somebody, mentioning details of the location.
No, British police aren't going to rely on a psychic.

ETA: Didn't see Dr Adequate's post - didn't think of a confession ("I did it, but I don't know exactly where I put the body.") but yes, it sounds the most likely explanation.

How would they know it was a gate?

Hmmm,I must admit I hadnt considered Dr A's theory or forensic.Just the way the Detective phrased his facts:"Green bottles by a metal gate in a wooded area" I suppose if it were a psychic we'd know about it by now!
Surely the boyfriend would know where he dumped her..at least give better details than what I listed.I know the police are searching a large area within the county(but a specific area at that).Just sounded odd, maybe it isnt a psychic anyway.

Updated statement I saw on late news:
We are partcularly interested in finding an area of woodland with fir trees with a metal gate that has some green bottles to the right of it...
Sounding more like "intelligence" that a psychic would supply.Forensics wouldnt conclude this, surely?

I think it sounds like a confession, by someone who didn't really know where he was at the time and imperfectly remembers the surroundings. The police don't tend to give that much credence to woos, and indeed it's more detail than most psychics would give.

Rolfe.

If I was a psychic, I would have gone for "wooded area, water not so far away, possibly in water". That should give me good chances of claiming a hit, no matter what happens. The gate stuff points to information from a non-psychic or un-professional psychic.

Yes ,it appears that police drove the boyfriend arround the area after his arrest,so it would seem he has indeed made a confession. No confirmation of this, officially, though.;)
