I was reading my Sunday paper today and noticed an ad for an event that might have been entertaining to attend had I known in time. Unfortunately, the event happened yesterday.
The ad stated that the Calvary Baptist Church was hosting a "Creation Seminar".
Guest speaker was someone named Bob Frey.
Topics discussed were:
9:00 - Radiometric Dating: evidence of a young Universe and Earth
9:45 - Dinosaurs, Transitional Fossils, Natural Selection
11:00 - Evolution and the Words of God
5:00 - New World Order, Evolution and Education
6:00 - Events of Noah's Flood, Noah's Ark, Social Impact of Evolution

The ad finished with a quote of Genisis 1:1, so even though I was unable to go, I think I know how the discussion went. And I am pretty certain we have a few more young people in this state that do not understand critical thinking or concepts like peer review, scientific theory and laws.
