Sorry for the 'publicans on the forum, but she really is the coolest first lady we've had in my lifetime. (that's from Carter on for those wondering...) :D

What are you apologizing to me for? I haven't really given "coolest first lady?" much thought, but I think it's neat that you have opinions on the subject.

Actually, I think Hillary was probably the coolest first lady in my lifetime (from Carter on, also). She was controversial for the right reasons, instead of just silly foo-foo stuff about shoes.

She beats Hillary for looks and Jackie Kennedy for brains and is a lot more decent in her treatment of other than any of her predecessors I can think of.

(I am going back and comparing them from Bess Truman onward. You would probably have to go back to Eleanore Roosevelt to match Michelle intellectually.)
