"regardless of the environmental consequences" ... :D In a fit of desparation, she's trying to out-Michele herself.

I thought you meant Michele Obama at first... it was kinda amusing :)

Of course, that's not at all what she said. That's just Alfred's interpretation of what "explore in an environmentally-sound way" means.

She's still bat guano crazy. But she does a good enough job of proving that herself. No need for folks here to lie to make her sound even crazier.

And her own wording, at least for number 11, makes no logical sense:

"11. Enforce American Immigration Laws."

Since current enforcement policy has resulted in record number of removals, I suppose what she really means is to decrease effective enforcement of federal immigration laws by spending limited federal funds tracking down and deporting non-criminal illegals rather than focusing on criminal illegals.

ETA: This shares a similarity to number 7 in that Bachmann's actual version is based on a false premise. I think Alferd was attempting to construe her points more honestly.

What's really strange, when you think about it, is that she was even able to get herself elected to the House of Representatives.

Repeal corporate taxes,
Yeah, because we all know that societies with no corporate taxes just thrive.
Slash federal spending
Even the DOD?
Repeal the health care law,
Yeah, let those without insurance die in the ditch like they deserve
Cut taxes even more
Anarchy is awesome!
repeal financial laws,
Yes, because an economic crises started be inadequate regulation will surely be solved by less regulation
repeal environmental laws,
A Love Canal for everyone!
Exploit every available energy resource
Screw the future.
Increase exports
Um.....okay that would be nice but how?
Remove all regulations on private sector industrial development
Finally I can build that methyl isocyanate separator in my garage just like I always wanted!
encourage innovation and education
Unless it allows them to understand why this eleven point plan is mostly stupid
Get rid of all the illegals.
But do it for free because we are supposed to be cutting our spending here.

1. Tax cuts for the rich.
2. Tax cuts for the rich.

More immigrants? Not likely.

The following is an idea I think I've posted before, and no, it's only semi-serious, not totally serious.

If you want to get rid of the illegal immigrant problem OVERNIGHT, all you have to do is repeal the 13th Amendment. That's right. Bring back slavery.

So if illegals come to the USA looking for work, they'll find it. Will they EVER find it!! They will find more work than they imagined. Of course, they won't get paid for their work, but I'm sure that there are those who are quite certain that it is 100 percent better to live in the USA as a slave than to live in Mexico as a free person.

So slavery is really in the slave's best interest, you see.

And imagine the competitive advantage that slavery brings. After all, countries with big populations like China and India have de facto slaves, don't they? So with US slavery, the US can compete once again in the world market, with its supply of cheap easily replenished Spanish-speaking labor.

Capitalism and slavery go together. They always have. Slaves can't form unions, they don't put a burden on the healthcare system, they don't have any wage at all, much less a minimum wage. Besides, they get fair compensation in the form of a shelter of some kind, and maybe clothing of some form and some material that might be called food, and they don't have to worry about things like investments or retirement or education or medicine or how to spend their leisure time. They sure as hell don't have to worry about unemployment. Yep, slaves have got it made!

So why not kill two big, fat birds with one stone? Make the US competitive again and put an end to all further illegal immigration! Who could possibly be against this? When will someone from the Party of Lincoln take up the "Bring Back Slavery" banner?
