I'm fed up of woo-woos with their bizarre opinions and gullible personas, so I have decided to get in on the act too.
I have years of experience of scraping burnt toast.
If the woos wanna bid $2500 for a piece I have adulterated to look like a face - good on me!

You should be careful about this. Miracle toast that pops up every year or two can sell for thousands of dollars. Much more will flood the market, with disasterous results on the price (from a manufacturer's point of view). I have no numbers, but I strongly suspect that the supply and demand curves are extremely non-linear.

Of course, the worst-case scenario is that those who currently believe that God would zap His face into a tortilla rather than save a few innocents in Africa would eventually re-examine their beliefs. Then no one would buy your miracle toast, no matter how rare it is! It might even lead to people not praying to miracle stains, miracle tree knots going unattended, and me getting less Jesus spam based on cloud formations.
 
What I want to know is this...we know what Micheal Jackson looks like...how do we know that's the Virgin Mary and not Sue Ellen Krumholtz from over in Pine Grove?

Anyone know of any contemporary likenesses for comparision purposes? Or, do we just go by the Virgin of Guadaloupe or Lourdes?

As I understand it, there are no "contemporary likenesses" of Mary, or Jesus for that matter. A few Greek and Roman politicians, athletes and models from the period are documented on coins and as statues, but that's about it.

Someone once said (about Jesus) something like "I guess he looked like a regular brown jewish arab, just to make sure I offend _everybody_!" (Exact quote, anybody?)
