I think I found out who this guy is.

http://www.stjohnscollege.edu/asp/main.aspx?page=5002

Near the bottom of the page:

Michael D. Weaver
Campus: Annapolis
Year: 1967
Current City/State: Cincinnati, OH

I am a recovered mentally ill person, who, after recovering from by bipolar illness, was able to become established in the area of self-help, go on and get a master's in social work, get licensure in social work in the state of Ohio, work successfully in the field since 1988, have 3 national publications, and found a social club for mentally ill persons which has been going for over 10 years. After I developed a new model of treating people with simultaneous substance abuse and mental illness, I am now working on replacing existing pyschological and psychiatric models with spiritual models. As well as being able to counsel within several different cultures, I am also able to counsel within several different religions and spiritualities.

I guess he would be classified as a spiritual psychiatric healer. A bit hard to test even if he had submitted a real claim.

Hey, someone from my college! Except he's submitting weird nonsense that has nothing to do with Randi or the challenge. Well, sometimes seminar is full of weird irrelevant nonsense anyway. Depends on the tutor, and whether or not certain Baptist nuts are in your class, really.

And he's from the Anapolis campus, too! Fortunately he graduated long before I attended.

I'll bet those lodge meetings are a real hoot. I'm picturing a roomful of people dressed up like Napoleon spouting their "theories of everything."

I wonder if they have a secret handshake?
