Dear Mr. Weaver,

Thank you for submitting a duly executed JREF Paranormal Challenge application.

As your application was not accompanied by a paranormal claim or a test protocol proposal (as per the Challenge rules), we are forced to reject your application. This decision is final.

Thanks for your continued interest.

Received this morning, via email, unsigned. Its point of origin was more than obvious.

I had sent you some possible experimental models and you said "APPLY" and I was assuming we could discuss experimental models after the appilcation was in. I don't want any money. I want to advance the field of psychology. You said your decision is final. You got what you want - a macho victory over a straw man, and I guess I have to look elsewhere to get assistance in trying to find better ways to heal mentally ill people.

==========================================================

Sir,

As you do not sign your emails, I have no recollection of any previous correspondence with you, nor of any "experimental models" you may have suggested, which would not have been reviewed anyway (until your application had been received).

Your application was not submitted according to the Challenge rules. You presented no claim, no claim letter, no test protocol proposal, and certainly no "experimental models". Where in the rules does it state that you must submit your resume? And where on the JREF website does it state that we are here to assist you in healing the mentallly ill?

What all this adds up to is a complete misunderstanding of the very nature of the JREF Paranormal Challenge.

Hence our decision to reject your application without further consideration.
