In this thread, http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54553 Mephisto says
Firing missiles into areas populated entirely with terrorists.
Using a tank's armor to protect oneself from kids throwing rocks, even if those kids are carrying rifles.
Landing a helicopter in a crowded neigborhood.
Clearly, he thinks the answer is "no". And in this thread, http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54950 Mephisto defends his complete misrepresentation of one of my hypotheticals on the basis that I didn't make it clear enough that two groups were inter-mixed, and he was therefore justified in declaring that they were not. Applying this principle, that one is free to add anything to anyone's statements, as long as it is isn't explicitly contradicted by those statements, I notice that Mephisto didn't say that the missles are being lobbed into areas populated with civilians, nor did he say in what manner the tanks are being "used" against children throwing rocks, nor did he say these chlidren aren't carrying rifles, nor did he explain what a "helicopter strike" is (nor, again, did he say the neighborhood is crowded with civilians). I therefore am allowed to conclude that Mephisto considers all of the following to be examples of Israeli lack of restraint:As for lobbing missiles into populated areas, using tanks against children throwing rocks, helicopter strikes in crowded neighborhoods, THAT'S RESTRAINT?
Firing missiles into areas populated entirely with terrorists.
Using a tank's armor to protect oneself from kids throwing rocks, even if those kids are carrying rifles.
Landing a helicopter in a crowded neigborhood.
