Megiddo, The March to Armaggeddon

The local independant/religious station is airing this title tonight. I haven't been keeping up with my conspiracy stuff, and I didn't recognize "Megiddo".

So off to Wiki... I had thought that the New World Order nonsense was over and done with; hadn't heard much about it lately. Not so, apparently...

Not only still active, it seems to tie up and incorporate almost all the big conspiracy ideas.
Trilateral Commission, Freemasons, Lyndon LaRouche....You name it.

And what is "Megiddo"? I was not familiar, but of course it's the fortified hill near (in?) Jerusalem where Armageddon will happen...

I'm old enough to recall when Jimmy Carter was running for president and there was all that flap about him being involved in the Trilateral Commission; even a big article in Playboy about the dangers of the New World Order.
I guess Jimmy must have dropped out of the conspiracy.

Meggido references to the place where the final battle will take place. It is the CT for the Biblically educated person. Mostly harmless stuff that Fundamentalist Christians go for, but when tied into the whole NWO conspiracy gets sort of crazy.

It is where Armageddon will take place (according to those who believe it), and I remember a Christian urban legend circling the internet about Vultures gathering in preparation to devour the dead. Fun stuff.

The word "Armageddon" is the Greek rendering of "Har Megiddo" - Mt. Megiddo - in the northern part of Israel (not really near Jerusalem, but that's a question of scale; Megiddo is about a 2 hour drive from the city, much closer to the coastal city of Haifa).
