Has anyone had experience with intraocular lens implants, especially the newest procedure--Rezoom is the brand name, I believe--wherein you have somewhat less distance vision than you do with the older procedure, but better vision all around? With the newer procedure you can go without glasses. My opthamologist is endorsing it, but it has been approved only two years, and I'd like to hear from anyone who knows anything about it. Thanks.

I have the rigid monofocal implants. I don't need glasses except for fine print. The multifocal lenses were not widely available when I had the surgery and at $10 grand an eye, probably would have been called "experimental/ not covered" by my HMO.
